The Cat is out of the Bag!

Longgggg time, no post! It’s 2020. I don’t think I need much more explanation than that. But we’ve been working all year to some really big goals that I’m excited to share!

Where have we been?

If you follow along with my Instagram, you’ll already know that we’ve been full speed ahead on the house renovation and getting it ready to sell! The original goal was to sell in the beginning of 2021, but with the market going crazy this year with house prices and interest rates, we decided to push ahead and get it sold this fall!

We took on some major projects like a full gut and remodel of the bathroom, finally got a new roof installed, and finished up some smaller projects around the house as well. It took some late nights, long days, and a lot of help from friends and family, but we were able to get her in tip top shape for selling.

We listed the house in mid-September, had a ton of interest, received multiple offers, and accepted an offer over listing price, all within a week!! We poured every last bit of ourselves into flipping that house, and giving it a chance at a new life! So happy that it all worked out.

Which leads me to the announcement…

We’re Moving to Florida for the Winter!!

Yup! THE Florida. Land of the oversized reptiles, humans in mouse costumes, world famous beaches, and Carole f**kin Baskin herself.

In case you don’t know, my boyfriend Kyle is born and raised in Florida, and his mom and stepdad are graciously inviting us to stay with them for the winter!

To be fair: My parents also invited us to stay with them all winter but we’re opting for the sunshine and warmth this time 🙂

Simultaneously while selling the house, we bought ourselves a 28′ toy hauler! We’ll be taking a little over a week to slow travel down to Florida with my cousin Alycia. We have plans to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway a bit, spend a little time in the towns of Charleston and Savannah and then a quick stop in Ginnie Springs where Alycia will hop off to spend time with family, and we’ll continue on to Clearwater!

We also have some big things planned for next year AND some goals of getting into real estate investing as well. So this winter away gives us a little breather while we plan out our next moves.

But wait, there’s more!

Announcement #2! On top of my Travel Agent gig with Pioneer Valley Cruise Planners, I’m going to be launching my side hustle in the beginning of 2021!

(Yes I’ve been talking about this for like 2 years now, but it’s really happening this time.)

InMotion Adventures is coming in hot! I’ll be providing route planning services, road trip itineraries and multi-destination vacations. I will also be providing some pre-made long weekend adventures for purchase and some group travel opportunities in the future! I’m excited to get it started and share the knowledge that we have gained, and will continue to gain over the next few years! So keep an eye out for that.

One last one…

In case you have missed it, this year we started a travel podcast with my fellow Cruise Planners team! We talk about everything from current news, trips we’ve done over the summer, the state of the travel industry and some exciting upcoming group trips. I’d recommend checking it out so you can keep up to date with travel! It’s called the Confident Traveler Podcast and you can find us over on Facebook, Apple, Spotify, Stitcher and more.

So a lot of exciting things in the works! 2020 was a tough one but it has put a lot in motion for us and I’m excited to see what the future brings. If you find yourself in Florida this winter, don’t hesitate to reach out and come visit!

I plan on using this blog as a way to keep people back home updated. Subscribe to get my posts right to your inbox so you don’t miss anything! Until next time…

Stay Wild and Adventure On!
