Airbnb Highlight: Vineyard Villas

I’m a big fan of Airbnb for a multitude of reasons! I’ve stayed in In-Law Apartments, converted basements, entire apartments, standalone homes, and even private rooms in someone’s home. I love that you can feel like you’re at home while traveling, I love meeting locals and getting their advice for the area and I LOVE the freedom of being able to cook to save money!

I tend to spend a lot of time researching areas and reading reviews before I book a place and it hasn’t let me down once. One of my favorite Airbnb bookings was the Vineyard Villas in Burdett, NY during my trip with my parents to the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York last year!

Overlooking the Vineyard

When we arrived to the area, we followed the road parallel to the lake for a bit before turning up through a vineyard to arrive at our destination. You could see the adorable villas as soon as we turned onto the road.

Vineyard Villas at Lake Seneca

One person owns all 6 of the Vineyard Villas but they are all separate listings on Airbnb. They are staggered a bit to provide privacy and each villa comes with a fire pit and some Adirondack chairs out front to sit and relax looking over Seneca Lake!

We were lucky to catch a beautiful sunset both nights that we stayed there. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Sunset View of Seneca Lake

Each villa has one parking spot for a vehicle and then you walk up the side of the house and enter through the front. Both stories have porches that you can sit on and overlook the lake. They provide a couple chairs and some string lights for ambiance!

Humble Abode

Vineyard Villas, Upstate New York

The first floor of the villa is just large enough for 2-3 people to live comfortable with a couch, small table, kitchen and full bath. The kitchen had everything you need to be able to cook lunches or dinners in to save money while in the Finger Lakes region.

The couch also pulls out to a queen size mattress which is how we were able to sleep 3 people comfortably!

The upstairs is a perfect little bedroom with some space to put your bags. We even slept with the doors open so we could wake up to the morning air and view! Best mind your head though!

Relaxing by the Lake

The views from the Vineyard Villas are really what stole the show though. Between waking up to deer wandering through the vines in the morning, to watching the sunset with a glass of wine at night, the views from the villa did not disappoint.

Next time you find yourself up in the Finger Lakes region or exploring Watkins Glen Gorge, I can’t recommend the Vineyard Villas enough. (If you missed my post about the gorge, you can find it here!)

  1. OMG! I’m a total sucker for Airbnb’s. Especially unique ones full or character and flare. You look as though this was just a hoot. I would love to do a “any”cation in a little tiny home as this. Lovely photos

  2. How GORGEOUS is this?! I love the really creative things people do with their Airbnb homes. The layout of this one is lovely! I’ll have to keep it in mind if I make my way to this area.

  3. While I am not usually a fan of AirBnB, these look lovely. I have been burned on two separate occasions. IN one case I had to check out and get a hotel, which cost me double the trip cost. These look so cute. Although they are separate listings, I wonder if you could book a few of them for a family reunion or girl’s weekend. I am saving this post so I can check this out again.

    • Sorry to hear you’ve had bad experiences with Airbnb!! That’s really unfortunate because when it goes well, they can be so great! And yes I believe you can book out multiple of them if you visit their actual website (rather than through Airbnb) early enough in advance. It’d be perfect for something like that!

  4. OMG! These are the cutest houses ever! What an awesome find! Thanks for sharing! Our 15th wedding anniversary is coming up and it would be a great road trip to drop off the kids at my parents in NJ and head on up to NY for a few days : )

    • It’s about $225 a night and if you’d like to travel with a dog, you can go to their actual website and request a dog friendly villa. I’d imagine you’d have to plan in advance for that though!
